I got into photography 9 years ago. I was drawn to the idea of being able to freeze moments in time. I cant make time go any slower, but with photography, I can capture it. I always had this desire to tell stories with my photos, but it never really lined up with the type of work I was doing. I was taking photos of pretty faces, but I wanted more. I wanted my photos to MOVE people. Then, I discovered dance photography. I'd show up to shoots, and not only did these dancers want to be there, but their passion matched mine. They were ready and willing to create amazing photos. In March 2019, I decided to dive in head first. I stepped away from my regular photography and created Movement By AliKay.
